NCB Environmental Studies Courses

Three polar bears investigate a submarine which surfaced 280 miles from the North Pole. The submarine, which was collecting scientific data and water samples for universities in the US and Canada, was under scrutiny for two hours before the bears went on their way.

Our NCB Environmental Studies Courses offer online tuition in Oceanography, Climatology, Environmental Geology, Environmental Management, Environmental Politics and Philosophy, Bird Life, Mammal Ecology and Conservation, and Sustainable Development.
Non-Credit-Bearing courses are delivered outside degree programmes, enabling our students to learn for personal and professional development rather than for academic credit. These short courses provide students with the opportunity to focus on areas of particular interest and to benefit from the guidance of experienced tutors, without the worry, pressure or additional costs of essays and exams.
There is no 'typical' NCB student - we welcome adult learners of all ages and nationalities. The one common trait our students share is enthusiasm for their subject. Students may choose our courses because:
- We welcome students who are new to online study and those who have not studied for some time.
- There is no need to be in a set place at a set time - students can study online at a time that suits them.
- Students can study a single NCB course, or several, and in any combination.
