Credits
The Department offers a modular programme, whereby you can select individual modules, accumulate credits and create your own specific course of study. You may end your studies after one module or continue on to build credits towards an award.
If you intend to complete an award, each subject area will have guidelines as to the requirements necessary to ensure you qualify for your desired award. If at any time you have questions about how to build credits or progress to an award, please contact us so we can better explain your options.
Credits
Assessment is a requirement for all credit bearing modules. Credits will be earned if a module, including its assessment(s), is completed satisfactorily. One credit typically corresponds to 10 hours of study (usually made up of a combination of directed study, independent study and course work). A 20-credit module, therefore, represents 200 hours of work.
Due to the timing of the University’s accreditation process, not all modules listed in this prospectus have gained accreditation approval at the time of printing, but are expected to by the start of the academic year.
Maximum Length of Study
There are limits on the maximum length of study. Please see "Awards Available" for more details.
