Levels
Undergraduate Levels
Awards are available based on the completion of study at each of the 3 undergraduate levels. Entry to level 2 is still available on Environmental Studies and Humanities courses, although it is now closed on Historical Studies, Literature, Archaeological Studies and Egyptology.
Level 1 Undergraduate Certificate
120 credits at Level 1 are required for an Undergraduate Certificate. As Level 1 is an introductory level to University study, these modules are available by open enrolment.
Level 2 Undergraduate Diploma
240 credits across Levels 1 and 2 are required for an Undergraduate Diploma. Entry to Level 2 is by application - in certain circumstances, students may enrol directly onto Level 2 modules (see Accredited Prior Learning).
Level 3 BA (Honours) degree
360 credits across Levels 1, 2 and 3 are required for a degree.
Level 2/3
All modules listed as Level 2/3 are available either at Level 2 or at Level 3. General descriptions remain the same, but assessment and learning outcomes will reflect the appropriate level. Please note the separate course codes for each of the levels when registering.
Postgraduate Levels
PgCert Postgraduate Certificate
Awarded upon the successful completion of 60 Masters Level credits.
PgDip Postgraduate Diploma
Awarded upon the successful completion of 120 Masters Level credits.
MA Masters Degree
Awarded upon the successful completion of 180 Masters Level credit.
