Combined Honours Degrees
Please note the School of Education and Lifelong Learning will not be recruiting any more undergraduate students from 2009. For more information please see the main Undergraduate home page
We have developed new programmes in conjunction with the University of Exeter’s School of Sport and Health Sciences and School of English. These combined honours degrees provide an outstanding foundation in Education as well as offering the required subject knowledge needed for students wishing to further train as a secondary teacher in the relevant subject (English or Physical Education).
New for 2008: BSc Psychology and Education
Working with the School of Psychology we have developed a new combined honours degree. The degree will provide a good foundation for any student interested in a career as a psychologist with a particular focus on applying those skills in an education setting working with learners of all ages.
This unique programme - now BPS accredited - provides British Psychological Society (BPS) graduate recognition, typically only available with single honours psychology degrees. This will confer on graduates the right to pursue a wide range of further professional qualifications and careers within Psychology including further training as an Educational Psychologist.
Flexible Combined Honours Degrees
Looking for something more suited to your own interests? Our flexible combined honours degrees enable students to combine subjects which do not already have an established combined honours programme into their own tailor made degree. Whether that be combining Education Studies with French or perhaps Childhood and Youth Studies with Physics.
