Action Research is a powerful tool for educators to improve teaching and learning in their classrooms and wider contexts. This module, for professionals practicing in a range of educational contexts, is designed to support you in theoretically driven, rigorous exploration of your own practice. You will build on preceding modules or accredited practice to develop your critical analysis of relevant theories, research evidence and policy in order to focus on understanding the relationship between theory and practice in your own teaching context. You will develop skills in undertaking research in your own practice and professional context, exploring ideas in relation to an area of educational theory and current thinking that is of particular interest and relevance to you.
