The purpose of this module is to explore pedagogical as well as subject knowledge in relation to secondary school teaching in physics. This module will introduce you to a range of factors that may affect and/or enhance physics teaching and and will consider the theoretical basis for relevant pedagogical skills and will sit alongside the subject knowledge work that you undertake as part of your TSST course. You will be encouraged to consider your viewpoint relating to science and physics and how this may impact teaching decisions. You will consider some current issues in physics education.

To take this module you will already be a practising teacher who possesses QTS in a specialist subject other than Physics and have a place on a TSST course.
