Welcome to all new postgraduate students starting in September 2023

Welcome to the School of Education

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to all of our new students joining the School of Education this term. You are joining a lively, friendly and committed community of education scholars based on the St Luke’s campus and we very much hope that you will feel able to take full advantage of the opportunities this affords you. As well as fully benefiting from the more formal aspects of your programmes of study do try to join in with the various teaching and research focused events, whether online or face to face, organised by academic staff members and your fellow students. Don’t forget that many of your teachers are leading scholars in their fields of study and they will be looking to you to join with them in challenging and advancing existing practices, thinking and orthodoxies in the field of education. We very much look forward to meeting you and hope that you have a rewarding and enjoyable experience during your time here.

Professor Alexandra Allan

Head of the School of Education
