Welcome to the PGCE programme at the University of Exeter

Now that you have accepted an offer of a place on one of our PGCE programmes, you can begin to prepare for your teacher training year.

Our partner schools (Exeter Partnership and School Direct schools) are getting ready to receive trainees and are looking forward to providing training for you whilst you are placed with them.  You’ll be aware that schools have faced many challenges over the last few years, and will certainly need you to be understanding and flexible as they continue to deal with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic during the forthcoming year.  But please be assured that they are all keen to provide you with the very best possible training environment and are looking forward to working with you as you develop as a teacher.
