Autumn term information

Please see the relevant section below for information about the autumn term for your PGCE route:

The autumn term course starts with two weeks school experience – Anticipating Practice (see the pre-course information and tasks section for more details).

We are still working on the detail of the autumn term timetable and the planned timetable for the primary PGCE programme will be different according to your allocated group. You will be notified of precise timings at the start of the term. However, you should anticipate that you will need to be on campus five days per week (mon-fri) for taught sessions during the autumn term.

The two-week placement will take place during 07 - 18 November and you will be required to attend your school setting every weekday unless directed otherwise by the school due to Covid-related alternative teaching arrangements.

During the Anticipating Practice fortnight, you will receive a welcome message from the PGCE team and further details on the arrangements for the first day of the taught course on Monday 19 September. A timetable for the term will then be provided during the first week.   If for childcare or other reasons, you need more specific information about your expected timetable, you may wish to contact your pathway leader (if you need contact details the Info at St Luke’s team (info.stlukes@exeter.ac.uk) can provide these).

For information on parking on campus and the surrounding area please see https://www.exeter.ac.uk/staff/car-parking/permits/exeteror contact the Car Parking team on carparking@exeter.ac.uk
