Francesco Amoruso
Honorary Appointment
About me:
I am a doctoral candidate at the ECPS, where I conduct research on Rawabi, a new Palestinian city in the occupied West Bank. My research project sits at the intersection of urban studies, settler colonial studies, and Marxist political economy. In particular, I am interested in class formation under settler colonialism, and the role of indigenous capital in the production of colonial space.
I hold a MA with first-class honours from the University of Exeter, and a BA in International Relations from the University of Naples "L'Orientale".
During my time as a researcher I have conducted a six-months long fieldwork in Palestine, spoken at several international conferences and workshops, and taught on six different undergraduate modules.
I am the recipient of a full ECPS scholarship and was awarded several research grants and prizes for academic excellence.
