Jason is a practitioner and educator specialising in cognitive psychology and the delivery of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs). During his PhD, Jason focused on interactions between attention, arousal, and various dispositional / state measures. Jason also focused on the application of specific MBIs, including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), in relation to attention and wellbeing. Jason draws on a range of research methods to examine specific attentional / psychological outcomes, and is particularly interested in the application of interventions and brief inductions within the educational context.

Jason has applied his training within the NHS, and in private / voluntary sectors, and continues to work with individuals on a 1:1 and group basis. He also works actively with charitable organisations in the design and delivery of wellbeing events, and facilitates regular mindfulness drop-in sessions at the University of Exeter and in the community.
